Job Description

What you’ll do:

As the Service Desk Advisor at GMHBA you will serve as the first point of contact for all users requiring support with technical incidents, service requests, technical questions, and IT-related issues.

This is a 10-month fixed term contract. You will be required to work a rotating Saturday roster with 1 Saturday every 4 weeks (9am-1pm). Overtime will be paid for Saturday shifts. 

This role is responsible for:

  • Efficiently logging, diagnosing, and resolving a wide range of hardware and software issues
  • Ensuring timely escalation when necessary
  • delivering an exceptional end-to-end customer experience
  • providing prompt, professional, and effective support, maintaining clear communication, and following up to ensure user satisfaction and resolution of all reported issues

Desired Skills and Experience

Mandatory

Certificate IV in Information Technology or equivalent

Experience working within a medium-large enterprise utilizing ITIL (or MOF) fundamentals and frameworks for IM Systems Management

Experience in a fast-paced service environment and a sound customer service ethic

Specialist experience with core business systems/applications –Active Directory, Exchange mailbox management, and Desktop and Mobile Operating Systems

Highly desirable

Knowledge of the Private Health Insurance industry.

Experience with application support or training

ITIL V4 Foundations Certification
