Job Description
We believe that when our people thrive, our community thrives too. We’re on a mission to make mental health and wellbeing part of everyday conversation — and we’re looking for a passionate Mental Health Lead to help bring that vision to life.
This is your opportunity to design and drive meaningful wellbeing initiatives that truly make a difference. You’ll shape our mental health strategy, support our leaders, and build a culture where people feel safe, supported and empowered to bring their whole selves to work.
In this role, you will:
Lead the design and rollout of GMHBA’s mental health and wellbeing framework.
Develop creative programs and training that build awareness, confidence, and capability across the organisation.
Provide expert guidance to leaders and People & Culture partners on complex mental health situations, including neurodiversity support and return-to-work planning.
Champion initiatives that reduce stigma and promote inclusion.
Oversee and continuously improve wellbeing supports like EAP, mental health first aid and peer networks.
Ensure compliance with psychosocial safety standards and lead conversations that create lasting cultural change.
Desired Skills and Experience
What you’ll bring:
A tertiary qualification in a health-related discipline.
Proven experience leading or influencing workplace mental health programs.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills — you connect, inspire and influence.
A data-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
Most importantly, a genuine commitment to fostering positive mental health and wellbeing.
Join us in the heart of Geelong! This is an on-site role, offering the chance to connect, collaborate, and make a real impact alongside a passionate team.
The position is based in our Geelong office for both working days each week (flexibility available for part-day arrangements).
If you believe you would be a great fit but don’t quite tick all the boxes, we encourage you to apply.
